A playlist of music tied to 32 individual human emotions. Each piece captures the essence of each emotion in some capacity. Jonathan created an entire course called Music and Mindfulness which explores each one of these pieces as well as our human condition. Although one needs much more than these five artists, Jonathan would like to share this playlist of the best of Richard Strauss, Mahler, Sibelius, Bruckner, and Rachmaninoff. These are some of his favorite composers and recordings of each piece. He has listened to this entire playlist twice already.

One of the most mysterious phenomena in music is the “curse of the ninth.” A handful of composers have died after completing their ninth symphony and it all began with Beethoven.
